Visit this place regularly with my very best friend. Except for the fact that the waitresses often take a long time to pay, this is a very good restaurant. The burgers all taste excellent and the price is also okay.

Eat there quickly and delicious. The staff has always been friendly. Unfortunately little space to eat.

Super friendly staff, food was tasty and hot. Cocktails were tasty. Were there on my birthday, after being mentioned I got a grandma’s surprise ? we’re always happy to come back

Made very nicely inside. Outside you can also sit very well despite the traffic. Lunch menu very tasty, but a little little.

Super tasty burger restaurant with a great unique selection. In summer it is very cozy outside thanks to the large tables, but inside it can get rather noisy as it is a bit cramped. It is advisable to reserve a table, especially in the evening as it fills up quickly.

Simply delicious. Also the quality of meals is never slacking, the service is great and fast and especially the vegetarian and vegan options are different and innovative, offering something else that isn't just meat substituted by cheese, but instead a whole filling meal as well. Really really love the whole flair.

Good and tasty food im the city centre. I've been to several other Hans im Glück locations. This one in Freiburg keep up to the standard good quality of the chain.

Were there in the early evening. Reservation recommended. The staff is hard-working and very friendly. Diverse menu in terms of burgers. Burgers were juicy and tasty, prepared appetizingly as an option with very tasty sauces. I definitely recommend the restaurant, we will be back on our next vacation!

Very nice wait staff, very polite and attentive, possibly a bit heavily made up & dressed up partly for a restaurant ..., in a discotheque it would be appropriate The food is delicious, but unfortunately the salad is not always the same. Sometimes there is too much sauce, sometimes really little. A shame because the salad dressing is very good. The burgers have always been the same so far. The place is clean and very cozy.

Delicious food & delicious cocktails. However, the cocktails are always full of ice, if you drink one time it is already empty. The service is friendly but the service is also to be criticized - you wait a long time until someone comes & that there is only warm food until 9 p.m. is also nowhere. We reserved a table at 8:30 p.m. & only found out 15 minutes before the kitchen was closing that it was closing, so we couldn't order a dessert. Prices are ok, although 25 € for 1 pound of fries with a cocktail & a piece of cake is a lot.

The food was very tasty and 'special'. The atmosphere was just pleasant, the service was pleasantly normal and natural. It was just right for me that evening ....

I am so far satisfied with the service and the food. The mood was really pleasant. I never regret coming back here again.

Good food, already been to several branches. Here, however, I had the feeling that the staff was a bit overwhelmed, even though we didn't eat at rush hour. Accordingly, we had to wait a little long. On the hot drinks for example for a quarter of an hour. Despite the "overwhelming" the staff was very friendly and at least kept an overview.

Delicious food and wide variety of dishes. The staff is also very nice, but quite uncoordinated and easily overwhelmed. "I'll be right back" turns into 20 minutes and we got the food before the drinks were there. Guests who came after us also got the food beforehand. If you want to eat here, you should bring a little more time than usual.

Giant menu, lots of customization options to your burger, and the burger and fries were great. Staff was very friendly and ready to assist us in English. Good choice in cocktails too, lovely place.

Good burgers & cocktails

The food is delicious here. I also think it's great that there is such a large selection of vegan & vegetarian burgers. The idea with the lunch and dinner menus is great! ? The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. ? Something like that was still missing in Freiburg! ? Here you can tell that the customer is still king. ? I enjoy going & highly recommend it.

Normally, try to write only good reviews, it is difficult for me to be annoyed by bad service. But can't believe how bad were we UNSERVED in this restaurant for good 30mins. Even we tried to say something directly to the stuff, the waiter said "Es ist so wegen Corona, wenn Sie nicht zufrieden sind, schönen Tag". Man, what a bad attitude!

Delicious food, attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, our final bill was not correct, which then held us up for a while. The service was very friendly and tried hard and the problem was quickly resolved.

We were lucky and were able to get a table at lunchtime even without a reservation. Scan the menu via QR code, great idea. Food and drinks came quickly, the service was super friendly and attentive. Food was really delicious.

Very nice and courteous staff. Optimally adjusted to corona regulations. The prices are reasonable. The menu can be called up online via QR code, or it can be brought to the table disinfected upon request. On our next visit to Freiburg we will definitely come back. We recommend!!!!!! We were already very happy to eat at Hans im Glück in Leipzig and Stuttgart. The prices are really okay and the food tastes really good. Here in Freiburg we were served very friendly and the restaurant is really nicely decorated. The service was attentive and we really enjoyed our stay. However, you should definitely make a reservation, otherwise you may have to wait a while.

Large selection of burgers even for vegan and vegetarian. Very tasty burgers with sweet potato chips, although I find the chicken burger a bit dry as it seemed that was cooked in advance and slightly heated up before serving. Reasonable prices on the Lunch menus . I will return to try the other burgers.

Great salads!

Wandering around the town and saw this place and decided to check it out. Very cool atmosphere and vibe, akmost lounge like. We were seated right away. I had a cheeseburger and fries. The burger wad pretty tasty and the fries were great. Service was excellent, or 3 server spoke Spanish, English, and German! Great dining experience!

The salad is excellent. The atmosphere and vibe are very pleasant. I personally like the restaurant menu very much which is well written, descriptive and easy to read. It helps making decision and saving time.

Very cozy and animal friendly place! They have vegan and vegetarian burgers and sauces! It is very busy so make sure you book ahead if you are a big group or you might not find a spot!

I love Hans im Glueck! The burgers here are delicious! I'm addition to the meat burgers, they have an amazing range of vegan and vegetarian burgers (which is quite rare anywhere in the world) . The vegan and vegetarian burgers have interesting patties too, like olive patty, walnut patty, etc. The cocktails and non alcoholic cocktails and homemade icea tea, which are also really good. It is a bit on the expensive side though, around 20 euros for a nice burger with fries and a cocktail. They also have delicious sweet potato fries. I would also recommend that you make reservations in advance because it is very popular and difficult to get seats if you don't have reservations.

The burger was okay. The portions are a bit small compared to the prices. However, the atmosphere, decorations and vibe are amazing. The staff are super friendly and can speak English. Thank you for this experience ✌?

Good burgers, nice location

Excellent food. The vegan and vegetarian options are so impressive. The sweet potato fries are exquisite. Definitely going back for those. Also has friendly service. The portions are filling and will leave you more than satisfied. Shout out to the baileys-amaretto-strawberry cocktail. It was amazing. They also have other impressive cocktail options. Cons: The price can seem a bit on the high range but the quality seems like it makes up for it. But spending 20-25€ for a burger meal seems a bit extra. It can be quite full and sitting outside in the cold can be a downside. But the indoors look cozy.

Since this is mainly a burger joint, it should be keen to serve the best quality meat and having its own respected way of cooking and preparing it rather than freezing it following the steps of bug franchises. I like to have my burger in medium or medium-rare and enjoy the experience of having a juicy burger but this is impossible to have in Hans im Glück. The atmosphere in this particular restaurant is really inconvenient and you'd feel you're trapped in a cage since they have designed the ace to ensure the biggest number of the tables. The two stars are for the good service and for the location.

Awesome place to eat great burgers. The restaurant is pretty stuffed in the evenings but in a way it doesn't feel unconfortable to sit so close to other people. If i could i would give more than 5stars just for the food itself. Definitely one of the greatest burgers you can get around for an affordable price. Also interessting unique burgers with great taste to them. Their cocktails have an awesome taste to them as well, whether you buy the alcoholic ones or the non alcoholic cocktails. Dessert was amazing too & the staff was friendly and helpful at any time. I definitely recommend coming here if you visit freiburg. It's worth a visit or even multiple visits to try out all the different burgers & drinks.

Went there on a Saturday evening. The place was crowded, but we managed to get a table quickly. Service was very friendly and fast. Food was delicious! Very good vegan and vegetarian burgers!

Finally made it to the new burger in town with a bunch of colleagues during lunchl last week. Even though the comprehensive menu suggested way more adventurous options I went classic for my first time and ordered their version of a bacon cheeseburger. Skipping the fries for some health points and trading them in for a coleslaw with potato dressing. The burger was good taste-wise but unfortunately quite dry, not how I remembered that juicy avocado burger from the opening weekend of the new tram lines a couple of months back. The slaw was also ok, with no distinct taste, rather rawish and very lightly dressed. Really liked the mango ginger ice tea that came with my lunch set though, taste as well as size. The place shares the forest look of other outlets and seating inside is laid out very narrow and tight. One of my colleagues is quite tall and had a hard time sitting down. Even I (not extraordinarily tall) had to squeeze through to my seat. Service was super nice and kinda fun actually. So this was my first Hans im Glück experience and I wasn't too thrilled. But they're still kinda new and I surely will give them another try in a few weeks time since I hardly ever judge from one single experience.

Staff was inpatient and took the wrong order and insisted that we made the mistakes... Besides, I don’t think it was worth of money. Burgers were ok but not surprisingly good. Won’t visit again...

I’m Soo happy the HANS IM GLÜCK BURGER have opened in Freiburg! Such a beautiful city deserves a delicious restaurants ??

Decent location and food. The inside with the birches is a good idea. The rest, unfortunately, is a shambles. Staff would be pleasant, but whole system is too complicated. The menu tries to be simple but is confused; waiters don't know the tables; too few waiters can take orders and cash out customers; we were given the wrong bill and had to wait very long between each stage. They need to streamline all processes. Has potential but needs to simplify fast before the current incompetence loses too much return custom. Go somewhere efficient and good instead, like Feierlings...

For my love of Hans im glück. They get a 5 star for even having thought of opening their restaurant in Freiburg!!! Have been dying to see this chain come up in freiburg.. finally! .. and what a location! Yayy, I'm the first to rate you guys!
